Like a moth to a flame. Some of us simply cannot resist beautiful things that might be our undoing.

This enchanting vintage decorative china plate features a magnificent winged moth at its center, surrounded by delicate botanical illustrations and intricate gilded ornamentation.

Its softly scalloped square shape is framed by a particularly lovely mint green border, lavishly embellished with gold floral patterns. An ornate inner band of gilding completes the composition, creating a splendid contrast between delicate natural history imagery and extravagant old-world decoration.

An irresistible treasure for lovers of moths, Victorian natural history, botanical art, entomology, and unusual vintage china.

Display it amongst your favorite curiosities, incorporate it into a botanical gallery wall, or give it pride of place in a collection of peculiar and beautiful things.

A rather magnificent little creature, immortalized in porcelain.

Vintage. One of a kind.
