Miss Havisham's Curiosities

When Team Elvira reached out to see if Havisham would be interested in collaborating on a housewares line, I literally had to lie down and take several deep calming breaths before I was able to utter the words, "Yes, I think that would be great." Needless to say my inner 15 year old fangirl was shouting, "Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes!" Keep it together, Melissa.

I wanted this collaboration to celebrate not only the one, the only, the legend herself, Elvira, but also to give a nod to classically known and loved design elements. Whether it's china patterns from the 1820's or black and white creature films from the silver screen, we wanted to find our Elvira/Havisham groove. Havisham has always been known for turning tradition on its head, for marrying the low brow with the high and so has Elvira. I wanted this collaboration to be no different.

As a woman of a certain age and certain dark inclinations, I want nice things. Elvira fans deserve luxury without compromising the creep, the snark, the subtle nod to being a little bit different. I hope you'll enjoy these first two pieces in our collection and stay tuned for what comes next. I promise to do our queen proud.
