Knowledge is power. Unfortunately, it does very little to prevent one's eventual demise.

As part of our ongoing callaboration with photography studio, Veneration of Light. A splendidly macabre marriage of antique elegance and mortality, this vintage china plate features an atmospheric memento mori still life at its center.

A human skull rests beside an open book, accompanied by an owl and a dark bird, creating a scene worthy of the most peculiar Victorian scholar's study. The haunting imagery is framed by an elegant ivory border embellished with intricate warm brown floral ornamentation.

A delightful reminder that even the most learned amongst us will eventually become little more than a footnote.

Perfect for collectors of vintage gothic china, skull decor, dark academia, Victorian curiosities, and unusual decorative plates. Equally at home in a cabinet of curiosities, a gothic library, or a suitably morbid gallery wall.

A beautiful object for those who appreciate the finer things in life—and the inevitability of death.

Vintage. One of a kind.
